Middle School (Grades 6-8)
Our middle school program provides a structured academic pathway designed to help students build strong foundational skills, academic confidence, and independent learning habits while preparing for high school success. Students complete a balanced academic program that includes English Language Arts, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education/health, and elective coursework in a flexible online learning environment with academic oversight and progress monitoring.

Our standard middle school pathway includes approximately 16.5 credits across grades 6–8. A typical middle school progression may include coursework such as English 6–8, Math 6–8 or Pre-Algebra, life and physical sciences, geography, U.S. history, civics, health, and exploratory electives.

Middle school students benefit from academic pacing oversight, diagnostic placement review, progress monitoring, intervention support, report cards, and end-of-year academic assessment.

Sunshine Online Academy follows a structured 24-credit high school graduation model. A typical high school progression may include English 1–4, Algebra 1, Geometry, advanced mathematics, science coursework, history and government courses, electives, foreign language, career exploration, and Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathway options where available.
